'Star Oars'

Thank  you to all who supported the coffee morning on 5th May.  Carol Simpson's husband , son and his football team are doing the Windermere Row in June for St Gemma's Hospice again.  If you remember last year they dressed up as Vikings - 'Thors Oars'.  This year theyr'e 'Star Oars'.  The coffee morning and your very generlous donations raised £134.50 for them.  Thank you to you and to Mum who sorted the coffee morning.

If you want to sponsor them, either have a word with Margaret Banks, Carol Simpson or Helen Read.  If you want to donate on line, please go to http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/MartinSimpson  You can see how mcuh you've raised so far.

                   Thank you again

About Us

St Andrew's is a Methodist Church in the heart of Pudsey, a market town between Leeds and Bradford.

We are the last remaining Methodist Church in the town, which originally had 35 Methodist chapels. Now, the congregation has 150 members and as many close friends who support its work regularly with donations of their time, commitment and money

We are a lively church, with different styles of worship and a wide variety of activities taking place on our premises. A couple of hundred people (women, men and children) meet here throughout the week (at least during term time).

Whether you're new to the neighborhood or new to worship, everyone will be made welcome and we look forward to seeing you.

 Prayer of the month.

Creator God
  Your gift of life
is our invitation to join the race for life.
Anyone may join, yes you and me!
By listening and training day by day
We learn that this race is about the whole of us,
   body, mind and spirit.
We receive with thanks the gifts of wisdom and understanding
from those who ran before us
and cherish the fellowship of family, friends and neighbours,
honour strangers, and be aware of those who have yet to join the race.
Our faith is that, as we reach the end, we find your loving embrace
is still fresh and we will hear those strong words of love,
" well done you good and faithful servant, come and rest."

   In Jesus name we pray.
Amen

Adaptation from a prayer by Bill Anderson.
